Mr. Nionakis is Admirals Bank’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary, and also a member of the Bank’s executive management team. He is responsible for directing the Bank’s legal and regulatory affairs and for overseeing its Compliance Department. He also serves as the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act Officer.

Mr. Nionakis has nearly 20 years of combined legal experience in private practice and the public sector. He was most recently a partner at a global law firm based in Washington, D.C., where he represented national and international corporations and individuals in connection with complex civil and criminal matters, including regulatory, compliance and internal corporate and governmental investigations.

From 1997-2001, Mr. Nionakis served as Associate Counsel to President Bill Clinton. In this capacity, he counseled and represented the President, the White House, and senior White House staff on investigative and privilege matters, civil litigation, government ethics and official programs. He also developed and executed communications strategies for numerous matters.

Mr. Nionakis received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish, cum laude, from Middlebury College. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University, where he also served as an Editor of the Case Western Reserve University Law Review.
